About us:
Cara Craft Supplies are a young Irish owned company which launched in September 2004. Its founder, Aisling, launched the site having returned to Ireland from living in the USA and finding a dearth of craft supplies available in Ireland to support a card making business she set up. The same month she had her son (Aisling's a single mum), www.craftsupplies.ie was launched. It was a hectic time! Nearly twenty thousand customers later, the site, and it's sister sites, continue to go from strength to strength.
In 2006, Aisling set up a dedicated DIY Wedding Stationery Site - www.diywedding.ie - to help couples make professional looking invitations at a fractino of the cost. The site now features over 100 DIY Kits - each one including an MS Word Template and detailed instructions - and a wide range of wedding accessories from wedding cameras and place cards, to paper petals and car ribbon.
In 2010 a party invitation and party supplies site - www.diyinvites.ie, was launched.
The sites have been featured on RTE's The Afternoon Show, TV3's Morning show, in the Irish Times, Irish Independent, TV3, Newstalk Radio, RTE 1 Pat Kenny Radio Show, Image magazine and many other media. Our site features an incredibly busy forum with over 225,000 messages posted to date by crafters all over Ireland and beyond - check it out today if you haven't already! People are sharing their work, asking questions, and just having a good time. The team is now four people - Aisling, Marcin, Ger and Sabina, and the company continues to go from strength to strength.
