October 2007 - Elisa's Project!
Elisa feels like she's been crafting since forever :)
" I started digital scrapbooking a couple of years ago and did my first paper
layout soon after joining the www.craftsupplies.ie forum last year.
Scrapbooking is my first love and takes up all my free time.  My style is
graphic and simple and my biggest influence was the book " Clean & Simple
Scrapbooking" by Cathy Zielske. I also get inspiration in ads and from
children's clothing (while ironing them:)).  Elisa has a gorgeous modern and graphic
style that has seen her published in Scrapbook Inspirations more than once!  We're thrilled to have her on the team.

Project - " Trick or
Treat" Layout
I have to admit that I designed this layout before
the arrival of the amazing Rusty Pickle’s Halloween themed papers.
Having said that, I think that the WRMK’s paper goes
well with the theme, with its autumn colours and its design which
reminds me of fireworks.

The title is handwritten, and very easy to make. The
tip is to first cut a strip of paper the same height as you want the
title to be. That helps to get even sized letters without having to
have any guide lines.

Materials used
2 sheets of dark Bazzil Cardstock  “Raisin”
1 sheet of We R Memory Keepers
“Nettie Sweets” paper
Also Required
White Pen
Foam Mounting pads
One horizontal (portrait) 7x5” photo

Instructions
Step 1 – Printed
paper
Cut one piece to 6 x 8 ½ inches. Cut another piece to 6 ¾   x 4
inches.
Step 2 - Print journaling
Using Word or another editor, write your journaling. Print it on a
test page and when you are happy with it, glue the 6 ¾ x 4 paper
(plain red side up) onto the test page. Place the test page back in
your printer and reprint the journaling.
Step 3 - Write your title
Cut a strip 1 ½
inches wide of your black paper.
Write your title with the write journaling pen. First write the
outline of each letter, and then trace another line inside the
outline.

Step 4 – Putting
it
all together
Stick the printed red
paper on the bottom left of the black cardstock, flush to the corner
of the black paper. Stick the other paper on the bottom right. Place
the photo between the two papers, making sure that the distance
between the photo and papers match the distance between the two
patterned papers.
Place the title along the “free space” of the layout, using foam
pads for added dimension.
