Projects!!

June 2007 - Carrie's Projects!

I have been a keen crafter for as long as I
remember including dressmaking, embroidery, painting and more recently,
jewellery making.
I started making Christmas cards for family and
friends over five years ago and I now have a good customer base who regularly
purchase made to order cards and wedding invitations.    I also supply
cards to local gift shops and florists.  I hope you enjoy my projects!

Instructions
1.
Using the Indian cotton sheets, take a cream
piece and tear a square slightly smaller than your cardstock.
2.  Pour some bleach into a small dish and
layer kitchen roll on top until
it becomes damp with the bleach.  Dab
the carnation stamp onto the kitchen roll
and stamp randomly onto the cream paper.
3.
Tear approx. a quarter off the navy
cotton A5 sheet (this will be half the size
of your cream square).  Again dab
the stamp into bleached kitchen
paper and stamp 3 times onto paper at
different heights.  (Wash your stamp
with running water or stamp cleaner after using bleach)
4.
Picking up the chalks with the cotton bud,
lightly colour the carnation images on the navy paper with 2-3 colours.  Using only the red, colour the images very
lightly on the cream paper.
5 .          Print Happy Fathers Day on a piece of tracing
paper and tear to required size to suit your card. Add a
scrap strip of navy paper below the text.  Attach to the
cream paper with
brads.
6.  Stick the cream paper and printing greeting on to
the rest of the navy paper from step 3 above using double sided tape.
Then stick the
navy stamped paper on top.  Stick the completed piece centrally on your
card.
