January 2007 - Elisa's Projects!
Elisa feels like she's been crafting since forever :)  "I started digital scrapbooking a couple of years ago and
did my first paper layout soon after joining the www.craftsupplies.ie forum last year.  Scrapbooking is my first
love and takes up all my free time.  My style is graphic and simple and my biggest influence was the book
"Clean& Simple Scrapbooking" by Cathy Zielske. I also get inspiration in ads and from children's clothing (while
ironing them:)).  Elisa has a gorgeous modern and graphic style that has seen her published in Scrapbook
Inspirations more than once, and she won our last year's December Layout Challenge!  We're thrilled to have
her on the team.

1 sheet of light blue cardstock "Jacaranda"
1 sheet of Making Memories "Winter Snowflake" paper
1 sheet of White tracing paper
1 sheet of Transparency or an extra sheet of White tracing paper
Silver Craft wire
White Resin stars
Also:
Making Memories Franklin Alphabet Foam Stamps
Blue Inkpad
Glue dots
Two 3x3 photos
One 7x5 photo
Suggested font: Jane Austen
White acrylic paint (optional)

Step 1 - Background
Tear the bottom third of the Snowflakes paper and glue it at the bottom of the cardstock.
Step 2 - Photos
Matt the 2 small photos with tracing paper.
Write the journaling in the computer. Plan it so that the journaling is about the same size as the bigger photo. Print the journaling on tracing paper or transparency.
Place the 7x5 photo on the cardstock overlapping the patterned paper. Trim the journaling and place it above the photo.
Place the two matted photos above the bigger, slating one of them slightly.
Step 3 - Title
Stamp the title in scraps of the patterned paper. Cut a rectangle for each letter and glue them at the top of the layout.
Step 4 - Star Embellishments
Use glue dots to stick some of the stars around the photos. Thread the remaining stars with craft wire. Shape the wire into swirls and glue them on the right hand side, beside the photographs.
Optionally, paint the back of the stars with white acrylic paint before gluing them, to make it stand more against the blue background.
