Following on from a request from Jackie and Di asking about a class in the cards I did at Scrap West, here is a quick lesson on a doodle flower card Smile I use Letraset Promarker for these doodles, I bought mine in the local bookstore.

Step1: Draw and colour in a petal shape

Step 2: Draw and colour in a circle in the centre.

Step 3: With a slightly darker marker highlight the petals.

Step 4: Draw and colour in the leaves, highlight the leaves by going over it again on one side.

Step 5: Outline all the elements with a black felt tip pen.

Step 6: Add your doodles, stem and outline the card.

and thats it, have a go and post up your doodle flowers Smile

I reckon once you have the right markers its really easy Smile and remember everyones style is different so it won't look exactly like this. I'll also post up a class on the paper patchwork flowers before the weekend Smile so keep an eye out Smile

Ahh, so I'm not losing my mind after all Laughing .
The ones I noticed in the photos were the patchwork ones, which were very like a class in a magazine recently, so when you posted this one up I thought I was totally confuzzled Laughing Laughing and seeing things that weren't there.
Actually I thought I'd try with watercolours and see how I made out - have just printed the instructions and now off downstairs Smile ...

I thought I must have imagined the patchwork cards in the pictures from ScrapWest Rolling Eyes .

OK, remember these are my FIRST attempts, a little bit of practice would help Smile .
But great fun to do.
I should have left the last petal out of the yellow one, which was outlined first with a sakura glaze pen, and then filled in with watercolours. The purpley one iis Marvy Markers done exactly following Eva's instructions.
Smile Smile

Thanks Eva, I enjoyed this and will keep practising.
